Ms. Beatriz Medina is MSc in Environmental Sciences from the University of Alcalá de Henares and Master on Science, Environment and Health Communication degree. Beatriz is a partner and consultant at WE&B as an expert in the field of socio-environmental studies. Working experience in the field of science communication and knowledge brokering, social engagement processes and analysis of public perceptions in environmental issues. Related projects where she gained experience have been funded at Latin American level (WaterClima LAC by Europeaid, EcoQuito by AECID and Green Growth Potential Assesment in Peru). She developed broad experience in developing R&D&I projects by the European Commission (REWAISE, LIFE DREAMER, HOUSEFUL, AfriAlliance, Run4LIFE among others). Additionally, she has published topic related articles and chapter books at scientific recipients.
Moreover, Beatriz has recently worked as research associate in the Sociology Department in the Autonomus University of Barcelona (UAB), working in the context of HONEST project, which focuses on gaining understanding on how societies have engaged with nuclear energy, and how the nuclear energy sector has engaged with societies over the course of the past 60 years, focusing in the Spanish case study. Specially, collaborating in understanding perceptions and mechanisms of societal engagement.
