The AfriAlliance project has recently published its first newsletter. The Africa-EU Innovation Alliance for Water and Climate (AfriAlliance), is a 5-year project funded by the European Union’s H2020 Research and Innovation Programme. It aims to improve African preparedness for climate change challenges by stimulating knowledge sharing and collaboration between African and European stakeholders.

As a 5 year project, AfriAlliance will share its findings and updates consistently throughout this time in order to better connect Africa and EU in water and climate related activities.

Within this first Newsletter, AfriAlliance shares the upcoming events including the First AfriAlliance conference to be held within the Local Governments for Sustainability Conference (22-24 March 2017). News about the African Great Lakes conference (2 – 5 May 2017).

Information is also given regarding the launch of the first set of Action Groups, the first AfriAlliance Innovation Bridge Event and the side event at the COP22.
