WE&B together with GlobalCAD (Spain) and Minergy (Nepal) have won the project “Pilot Testing the Green Growth Potential Assessment (GGPA) in Nepal”. The consortium will be working closely with the client Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) to implement this project in Nepal.
We will support the Nepali government in carrying out a Green Growth gap analysis as a preliminary step toward the formulation of the National Green Growth Strategy (NGGS). This initial gap analysis is envisaged to generate value-added information that could provide clear structure and inputs in designing the NGGS. The GGPA, as an invaluable input to the NGGS, will set the stage for understanding Peru’s green growth context and specifically its key challenges, opportunities, priorities, and potential interventions. The findings of the assessment will be useful for the Nepali government in setting the goals and developing concrete strategies and plans in making the transition towards green growth.
WE&B will lead activities related to the Identification of Stakeholders, their engagement in the process, a consultation process using the Delphi Methodology with the Nepali ministries as well as a comprehensive investigation into the forestry and water sectors in Nepal. WE&B will also ensure the integration of stakeholder communication into the overall green growth strategy for Peru.
