During this consultancy, technical support was provided to develop a report that offers a comprehensive overview of the transition toward a green and circular economy in the Mediterranean region. The report focuses on key sectors—such as agriculture, water, waste recovery and recycling, industry, tourism, renewable energy, and sustainable construction or housing—in selected priority areas.
The report aims to identify cross-cutting opportunities, challenges, and emerging trends that can inform regional strategies. Special emphasis is placed on green jobs and skills development, particularly for women and youth. Additionally, the report will go beyond existing literature by mapping and analysing ongoing initiatives, programs, and projects already contributing to this transition.
