Dr Mohamed started working at the Salamieh technical school as a lecturer before embarking on a research project in a Waste Water treatment plant in Harran Alawameed where she worked for the Ministry of Housing and Utilities as the Project Director. Between 2004 and 2007, while working for the Ministry of Housing and Utilities for Syria she was the project manager for the Wastewater reuse master plan, as well as the lead of the grey water treatment plants which was financed by Aga Khan foundation, she was also responsible for a PPP Project in cooperation with GTZ as well as being responsible for the Syrian-Malaysian cooperation in the water and waste water sector.
Between 2007 and 2011 she worked for ARBEET where she was the water and wastewater manager for the Water and Wastewater Master plan for Homs Governorate . She was also responsible for Assistance in Institutional Development & Organisational Change/ Damascus Rif Water and Wastewater Establishment (RDAWSSA), which was an EIB funded project. In 2012 she undertook a short-term project funded by GIZ for Water Resources Management in the Amran basin.
She is a specialist in: planning and implementation of low cost and sustainable sanitation projects, preparing waste water master plans, planning and coordinating training and capacity building measures in water and waste water sector, Financial management of sanitation projects.
She has experience in the following countries: Germany, Syria and Yemen.
