Innovative Solutions for a Sustainable Future
At Water, Environment and Beyond (WE&B), we develop transformative solutions that bridge business, society, and policy to tackle global environmental challenges. Through innovation and collaboration, we create impactful strategies in water management, circular economy, and climate resilience—helping organisations and communities drive meaningful change.
Ecological Business Innovation
WE&B seeks to create, adapt or translate an idea, technology, tool, model or methodology into a good or service that creates systemic (social, economic, environmental) value and for which customers are willing to pay.
Social Innovation
Through Social Innovation WE&B finds new approaches to meet social needs and to produce the behavioural changes or “nudges” required to solve environmental challenges.
We aim to empower citizens and generate new social relations, generate impact and new models of collaboration.
Policy Innovation
WE&B provides a forward-looking Policy Innovation service by leveraging our expertise in stakeholder co-creation processes, providing insights through the three components of Research, Evaluation and Advocacy.

Our Frameworks, Processes & Methodologies
Innovative Methods & Strategic Frameworks to Tackle Global Challenges.
Green and Blue Economy
The green and blue economy encompasses strategies that focus on sectors like energy, transport, agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and marine and coastal resources, all aimed at reducing environmental risks, ecological scarcities, and supporting sustainable development while integrating climate mitigation and adaptation efforts.
Circular Economy
Circular economy is a system where materials never become waste, and nature is regenerated. It keeps products and materials in circulation through maintenance, reuse, refurbishment, remanufacturing, recycling, and composting. By decoupling economic activity from finite resource consumption, the circular economy addresses climate change, biodiversity loss, waste, and pollution.
Just Transition
Just Transition is the shift to a net-zero economy in a fair and inclusive way, ensuring all communities, workers, and social groups are supported, with no one left behind.
It focuses on creating decent work opportunities while meeting climate goals, requiring ongoing dialogue within each country to develop a shared vision for affected workers, communities, and businesses
Green Growth
Green growth, (differing from Blue and Green Economy) aims to enhance economic performance of businesses by reducing poverty, creating jobs, and promoting social inclusion, while also ensuring environmental sustainability through climate change mitigation, biodiversity conservation, and secure access to clean energy and water.
Open Innovation
Open Innovation allows valuable ideas to originate both inside and outside a project, with the potential to reach the market from either source. A key aspect of open innovation is the co-creation of value, achieved when an R&D initiative opens its boundaries to involve users and key stakeholders in a co-design process.
