Ms. Josefine Nytofte is an Environmental Systems Consultant at Water, Environment and Business for Development. She has a Bachelor’s degree in International Social Sciences with a joint major in Geography and Environmental Planning (2015) from the University of Roskilde (DK), where she received an ERASMUS scholarship for a semester at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth. She has a Master’s degree in Climate Change (2017) from the University of Copenhagen (DK). She has different fieldwork experience from her graduate studies: one related to sustainable agroecological practices in Scotland, one with regards to nature-based solutions in Jordan, and one concerning climate change in Greenland. Josefine has expertise in climate change research and education, climate change adaptation and mitigation, sustainability analyses, sustainable business models, ecosystem services and nature-based solutions. Josefine previously worked as a Sustainability Manager (2018-2019) and a consultant on the development of sustainable business models based on sustainability analyses and greenhouse gas accounting for the environmental consulting company Nserve Environmental Services. She has also supported the green advisory company The Greenwerk in the creation of educational material on climate change financial mechanisms. At the green magazine Foresight Climate and Energy, Josefine supported the Chief Editor in scientific validation of articles, and she has worked with compliance research and analysis and due diligence reporting at Steele Compliance Solutions (2019-2021). Josefine has experience with climate change education and communication from the Climate Reality Leadership Corps (since 2020) and her work as Climate Ambassador in Denmark’s leading green think-tank, CONCITO (2014-2015). She was also elected Board Secretary (2016-2018) of the MSc Climate Change student and alumni network association, COPACC.
