David has worked for the Spanish Red Cross, Action Against Hunger, UNICEF, Montrose International and most recently for OXFAM GB. He has Coordinated WASH emergency actions, to provide water and sanitation facilities and services for over 12,000 internally displaced people. Recruited, trained and managed 25 national staff to provide access to basic sanitation for over 1,100 families in the peri-urban areas of Luanda. He has designed a proposal including a monitoring and an evaluation plan, work plan and budget to support the government of Angola to reduce the child mortality of under-five through achieving an Open Defecation Free province. He was responsible for creating and implementing an annual work plan, budget and M&E plan for hundred thousand dollar WASH activities to assist the Ministry of Health of Equatorial Guinea to achieve the MDGs. He is currently responsible for managing a WASH programme including promotion of cross cutting issues such as governance, HIV/AIDS and gender in four provinces of Angola.
