Beatriz is a partner and consultant at WE&B with expertise in the field of socio-environmental studies. Her experience is related to the field of science communication and knowledge brokering, public participation processes and analysis of risk perceptions in environmental issues. The projects where she has gained experience are at Latin American level: WaterClima LAC by Europeaid, EcoQuito by AECID and Green Growth Potential Assesment in Peru as well as in R&D and Innovation projects funded the European Commission: OBRA, PACHELBEL, MUSTANG, WaterDiss2.0, DEMOWARE, DESSIN, Water RtoM, INSITRATE, AfriAlliance, Run4LIFE. Additionally, she has published articles related to this above mentioned topics and book chapters in scientific documents.
Moreover, Beatriz is a research associate in the Sociology Department in the Autonomus University of Barcelona (UAB), working in the context of HONEST project, which focuses on gaining understanding on how societies have engaged with nuclear energy, and how the nuclear energy sector has engaged with societies over the course of the past 60 years, focusing on the Spanish case study. Specially, collaborating in understanding perceptions and mechanisms of societal engagement.
